The keynote address will be delivered by Daniel Pink, best-selling author and an expert on innovation, competition, and the changing world of work. Mr. Pinks latest book, A Whole New Mind, charts the rise of right-brain thinking in modern economies and explains the six abilities individuals and organizations must master in an outsourced and automated world. Reviewers have described the book as "an audacious and powerful work," "a profound read," "right on the money," and "a miracle." Several publicationsincluding strategy+business, The Miami Herald, and Fast Companynamed it one of the best business books of 2005. A Whole New Mind is being translated into twelve languages and was published across Europe and Asia in 2006.

David Brooks

Author and New York Times columnist David Brooks has published two books of what he calls "comic sociology," descriptions of how we live and "the water we swim in," Bobos in Paradise and On Paradise Drive. Bobos in Paradise was a New York Times bestseller. Mr. Brooks has worked at The Weekly Standard, joining the magazine at its inception and serving as senior editor. He has been a contributing editor at Newsweek and the Atlantic Monthly. He worked at The Wall Street Journal for nine years in a range of positions, including op-ed editor. He has written for the New Yorker, the New York Times Magazine, Forbes, and the Washington Post.

Dr. William Jenkins
|

Dr. William Jenkins, President of the Louisiana State University System, reflects on dealing with a natural disaster and its aftermath as a university president overseeing ten institutions on ten campuses in five cities (including ADEA member institution, the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry), as well as ten hospitals in ten cities. Dr. Jenkins was named LSUs Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in 1993 and Chancellor in 1996. He became President of the LSU System in 1999.
